One of the primary roles of a professional lobbyist is to provide clients with proprietary information before that information is disseminated publicly or can be obtained through traditional means; and no one in the public policy arena is more “tapped-in” than Scott Breslin. His intelligence channels reach deep into the Michigan House, Senate, and Executive Branch – but his effectiveness doesn’t stop at his uncanny ability to be ‘in-the-know’.
Scott’s aptitude for translating intelligence into effective ground-game tactics is where clients realize optimal outcomes again and again. Scott joined PAA in 2004, and was recognized throughout his early career as the next generation in a family deep-rooted in Michigan politics. Both Scott’s grandfather, Jack Breslin, and his father, Brian Breslin, have walked the halls of the Michigan Capitol advocating for sound policy relative to higher education, corporate growth, and job creation.
Though his primary expertise lies in the insurance, financial services, retail, and pharmaceutical sectors, Scott’s breadth of policy acumen stretches far beyond those areas and was cultivated during his time as Chief of Staff to Oakland County’s now-Congressman Mike Bishop while serving in the Michigan House and Michigan Senate.
A Grand Rapids native and Michigan State University graduate, Scott and his family have returned to the Grand Rapids area. Don’t look for much free time on Scott’s social calendar as he and his wife Jasmine have four daughters and one son.
