Becky Bechler

Becky Bechler will almost always be found navigating calm waters. In fact, Becky’s level, composed nature and her ability to achieve optimal results for her clients through even the most demanding and tense negotiations place her among Lansing’s most effective public policy advocates.

While Becky’s passion for the issues she advocates remains intense, it’s her focus on thorough preparation that results in positive outcomes for clients. Becky has the unmatched ability to anticipate changes and eventualities within the political and policy-making arenas, the key foundation to high-quality issue positioning and persuasive argument development.

Becky’s feel for the forthcoming arguably comes from her time in serving as Legislative Director for then-Senate Majority Leader Dick Posthumus where she balanced countless policy directives and stakeholder positions, both internal and external.

Becky joined PAA in 1993 and has been one of the firm’s two managing partners since 2014.

While she is an absolute expert in health policy and the appropriations process, Becky has an impressive depth of policy acumen resulting from her years of successfully managing a diverse client portfolio.

Although a graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, Becky is an impassioned fan of University of Michigan athletics. If not in the office, or at the Big House in Ann Arbor, Becky can be found in the Canadian Lakes area with friends, family, and her two dogs, Payton and Zoe.
