Bruce Ashley

Bruce Ashley embodies the maxim of “right place, right time” through his unfailing skill in ensuring that clients are well-positioned with the appropriate decision-makers. Successfully telling the story is only a portion of any initiative – telling the story to the right people is paramount. Bruce excels at both.

Since joining PAA in 1987, Bruce has continued to outclass competitors with his consummate style and systematic approach to issues, and to outshine competitors with his in-depth knowledge of key players and complicated processes in effecting change in public policy.

While there is unlikely to be a public policy issue Bruce could not resolve, his true expertise lies in developing and implementing successful state budget and procurement strategies for clients. Bruce honed these invaluable skills as a Senate staff member for nearly a decade and through his highly successful stints as a government relations executive with the Michigan Health & Hospital Association, Michigan HMO Plans, and the Wisconsin Physicians Service.

Bruce is extraordinarily active in his community, serving on civic boards and donating his time to many community activities, mostly surrounding the arts. These days, Bruce and his wife, Sharon, split their time between Okemos, Harbor Springs, and Florida.
